GLOBAL ACQUISITION INTELLIGENCE
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 10.24.26
1. Scope and Identity
This Privacy Policy explains how TerraArc (the “Operator,” “we,” “our” or “us”) handles personal information collected through terraarc.net, its public acquisition inquiry forms and related public website communications (the “Website”). “TerraArc” is the brand used on the Website. This Policy does not replace any separate privacy notice required or provided by an entity that enters into a professional, financial-services or regulated-client relationship with you, or any separate notice governing an authenticated business application.
Contact the Operator at info@terraarc.net.
2. Information We Collect
When you contact us, we may collect the information you choose to provide, such as name, business email, telephone number, job title, company, company website, country, target industries or jurisdictions, approximate acquisition size, acquisition interests and the content of your message. We may also receive business contact details from legitimate introductions, professional correspondence and permitted public business sources.
The Website or its service providers may process device and technical information, such as IP address, browser characteristics, referring pages, pages viewed and approximate geographic information derived from IP address. If analytics, cookies or similar technologies are deployed, the Operator will identify the relevant categories and choices in an applicable cookie notice or Website control.
Do not submit Social Security numbers, passport details, bank-account information, health information, nonpublic financial statements, privileged communications or confidential transaction materials through a general public form. If additional information is needed, we will arrange an appropriate channel.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information to receive, assess, route and respond to acquisition inquiries; determine whether a proposed conversation is appropriate; arrange meetings; conduct preliminary business research; maintain correspondence and records; operate, maintain, protect and improve the Website; comply with applicable obligations; and prevent misuse or security incidents.
We may send business development or informational communications where permitted by law and applicable choices. Such communications will provide a practical way to opt out. Submitting an inquiry does not automatically enroll you in a marketing newsletter.
4. Automated and AI-Assisted Processing
Our internal acquisition intelligence tools may assist authorized personnel with research, organizing submitted business information, identifying research gaps and preparing draft advisory materials. Human personnel remain responsible for evaluating inquiries and any resulting recommendations. We do not represent AI-generated content as independently verified fact.
5. Sharing and Disclosures
We may disclose information to authorized personnel and contractors supporting the Website or preliminary inquiry review; hosting, CRM, communications, security and other service providers acting on our behalf; and professional advisers where reasonably necessary. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or security, or in connection with an appropriate business transition.
We will not treat submission of an inquiry as consent to circulate confidential transaction information or personal contact details broadly among independent GAP member firms or potential acquisition targets. Any contemplated disclosure for a specific introduction or engagement will be evaluated and authorized as appropriate. [CONFIRM precise sharing practices with TerraNova entities and whether those entities are independent controllers or service providers.]
6. International Data Transfers
Because the Website serves international businesses and may use service providers in different locations, information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where required, we will implement an applicable lawful transfer mechanism and provide jurisdiction-specific rights or notices. [COUNSEL: determine applicability of GDPR, UK GDPR and other privacy regimes, lawful bases, controller/processor roles, representative obligations and transfer mechanisms before targeting covered individuals.]
7. Retention
We retain inquiry and related business records only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, subject to legitimate business needs and applicable legal, regulatory, contractual and recordkeeping obligations. Retention periods vary by category.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information appropriate to its sensitivity and use. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Do not send sensitive transaction documents through unapproved channels. Security incidents will be assessed and addressed as applicable law requires. This statement is not a guarantee that unauthorized access can never occur.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You may contact info@terraarc.net to request access to, correction or deletion of information, or to object to certain processing, subject to identity verification, applicable law and permitted exceptions. Depending on your jurisdiction, additional privacy rights may apply, and we will honor those rights where legally required. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the instructions in those emails.
10. Cookies and Analytics
The Website may use technologies necessary for operation and, if configured, analytics or marketing functionality. Any required consent controls must be implemented before optional trackers that require consent are activated.
11. Third-Party Websites
Links to TerraNova, GAP and other third-party sites are provided for convenience. Those sites are operated under their own practices and notices; this Policy does not govern them.
12. Children
The Website is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children through the acquisition inquiry form.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice where required.
